SPUTNIC workshops

To enable the wider uptake of our research and results, SPUTNIC organized two workshops. These workshops included thorough debates on the feasibility and limitation of the application of the presented topics in the participating institutions.

Learning Café @ The annual EDEN Conference, June 14-16, 2007

The first workshop took place at the EDEN Conference 2007 in Napels, between 14-16 June 2007. The aim of this workshop was to disseminate information on best-practices to the participants and to collect valuable feedback from the discussions during the workshop and come to some real solutions for concrete problems when implementing Web 2.0 technologies to enhance international collaboration, with active participation from the audience.
The discussions took place using the learning café method. Due to this technique all participants were given the opportunity to take actively part in the discussion and give their opinions or make statements on the topic.

'Promoting Collaboration through New Educational Technologies'
Forum @ Online Educa Berlin, November 28, 2007
Hotel Intercontinental Berlin

A one-day SPUTNIC forum was organised in conjunction with the annual Online Educa Berlin Conference, bringing together experts and practitioners in Virtual Mobility, Social Software applications, Streaming Video and Videoconference.
The forum was a mix of presentation and discussion formats, combining case examples and practical experience with discussions and brain-storming exercises in an effort to come-up with clear advice and good practice that others can use in their own educational context.
