MEAC
'Media Education across the Curriculum'
- Funding programme and duration
The MEAC project is supported by the European Commissions’ Minerva Programme. The project ran from 2003 until 2006.
- Objectives
The MEAC Goals were to bring critical media education into the school, to offer support of how this could take place (materials, events, ..) and to focus on video technology as a pedagogical tool.

other target group: other educators, media educators, media producers
- Main activities
- The development of online resources across the Curriculum ('MEAC Themes')
- The organisation of media educational events (focus on workshops)
- Available outputs
Apart from the project outputs that are available on the project website, Meac has made streamed videos available on YouTube (type in 'mediaeducationNet').
- Project experience
Bringing media education to school is still a challenge but vital
- good experience with face to face meetings, workshops in schools
- good experience with the European perspective of media education (intercultural education)
